چکیده

Medicinal plant extracts are a promising source of bioactive minor contents. The present study aimed to evaluate the distinguished volatile content Algerian Cymbopogon citratus (DC.) Stapf before and after microfluidization process their related antimicrobial anti-mycotoxigenic impacts changes. GC-MS apparatus was utilized for comparative examination lemongrass essential oil (LGEO) with its nanoemulsion (MF-LGEO) content. MF-LGEO characterized using Zetasizer an electron microscope. Cytotoxicity, antibacterial, antifungal activities were determined LGEO MF-LGEO. result reflected changes in volatiles microfluidizing enhanced presence compounds known exceptional antibacterial properties MF-LGEO, namely, neral, geranial, carvacrol. However, certain terpenes, such as camphor citronellal, absent, while decanal, not found raw LGEO, detected. droplet diameter 20.76 ± 0.36 nm, polydispersity index (PDI) 0.179 0.03. In cytotoxicity studies, showed higher activity against HepG2 cell line than Antibacterial Gram-positive bacteria recorded inhibitory zone from 41.82 2.84 mm 58.74 2.64 mm, ranged 12.71 1.38 16.54 1.42 Gram-negative bacteria. be up 71.43 2.54 nm 31.54 1.01 impact pathogens. effect considerable, particularly Fusarium fungi. It reached 17.56 13.04 1.37 application well-diffusion assay, respectively. more reducing mycotoxin production simulated fungal growth media due linked reduction ratio 54.3% 74.57% total aflatoxins (AFs) ochratoxin A (OCA) contents, These results reflect improvement regarding properties.
